These target endurance from two angles: L-citrulline raises nitric oxide for blood flow and pumps, while beta-alanine buffers the acid that builds during hard sets, delaying fatigue. They are the backbone of most pre-workout blends.
Take L-citrulline (around 6 to 8 g) shortly before training, and beta-alanine (around 3 to 5 g) daily whether or not you train, since its benefit comes from building muscle carnosine over weeks. The harmless tingling from beta-alanine is normal.
