What is Fenugreek?

Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) is a culinary and medicinal herb native to the Mediterranean and Western Asia. The patented Testofen extract, standardized to 50% fenuside glycosides, has been studied in placebo-controlled trials for its effects on free testosterone, libido, sexual function, and body composition in active adult men. The proposed mechanism is inhibition of the enzymes that convert testosterone to estrogen (aromatase) and DHT (5-alpha-reductase), preserving more testosterone in its free, bioavailable form. Standard dose is 600 mg of Testofen per day for 8-12 weeks. Whole-food fenugreek seeds also have a strong evidence base for blood sugar support.
