What is Nettle Root Extract?

Nettle root (Urtica dioica) has been used traditionally for prostate complaints and urinary symptoms. Its bioactive lignans bind sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG), potentially increasing the bioavailable fraction of testosterone. Multiple trials, particularly in combination with saw palmetto, show meaningful improvements in benign prostatic hyperplasia symptoms: urinary frequency, urgency, and night-time waking to urinate. Standard dose is 300-600 mg of nettle root extract per day.

Supports prostate health and may bind sex hormone binding globulin, raising free testosterone slightly.
