Does Omega-3 Fish Oil interact with Nattokinase?
Compounded blood-thinning effect.
Nattokinase is a fibrinolytic enzyme that breaks down fibrin and can reduce clot formation, while omega-3 is mildly anti-platelet. Stacked, the two act on different parts of clotting and can meaningfully shift the balance toward bleeding, particularly at higher nattokinase doses.
Do not combine these without medical guidance if you take anticoagulant or antiplatelet medication, have a clotting disorder, or are approaching surgery. For others, keep doses modest and stop before any procedure that carries a bleeding risk.
