Does Vitamin E interact with Selenium?
Antioxidant teammates.
Selenium is the core of glutathione-peroxidase enzymes that neutralise peroxides inside the cell, while vitamin E protects the fats in cell membranes from the same oxidative damage, so the two guard different fronts of the same battle.
Fine together at sensible doses. Selenium has a relatively narrow safe range, so do not megadose it (a couple of Brazil nuts supply a day's worth), and keep vitamin E modest, since high doses offer no benefit and may thin the blood.
