Citrulline raises nitric oxide and blood flow for the session ahead, so it is timed to peak during your workout. An empty stomach speeds absorption.
Take 6 to 8 g of citrulline (or citrulline malate) about 30 to 60 minutes pre-workout.
There is little point taking it on non-training days for performance.
