Best time to take Magnesium L-Threonate
Take magnesium L-threonate in the evening; it is the form marketed for the brain.
Threonate is promoted for cognition because it may raise magnesium levels in the brain, and like other magnesium forms it is calming, which suits the end of the day. The dose is split across several capsules to deliver the studied amount.
Take the labelled dose (often three capsules supplying around 140 to 145 mg elemental magnesium) in the evening. With or without food is fine.
Taking it earlier is unnecessary and the calming effect is better used at night.
