What is Pterostilbene?
Pterostilbene is a methylated analog of resveratrol found primarily in blueberries. Its two methyl groups give it roughly 4× the bioavailability and significantly longer half-life than resveratrol while activating the same sirtuin longevity pathways. Human trials show benefits for blood pressure, cholesterol, and self-reported cognitive performance. The patented pTeroPure form, made by ChromaDex via fermentation, is the most-researched commercial source. Standard dose is 50-250 mg per day, often stacked with NAD+ precursors. Pterostilbene has GRAS status from the FDA.
