Best time to take Saccharomyces boulardii
Take S. boulardii any time, and unlike bacterial probiotics it is safe taken with antibiotics.
S. boulardii is a beneficial yeast, so antibiotics do not kill it, which is exactly why it is used during and after a course to reduce antibiotic-associated diarrhoea.
Take it daily, including alongside antibiotics and for a week or two after. With or without food is fine.
Anyone immunocompromised or with a central line should check with a doctor first.
